WELCOME TO
MINTS
INTERNATIONAL SEMINARY
Established in 2000

MINTS was founded in 2000 as a collaborative effort between church leaders and missionaries in Miami initially to reach what National Geographic called “the most international city in the world.” As MINTS began courses in other languages for the diverse Miami residents the work spread to other locations.
MINTS encourages a “school without walls” approach where classes are held in churches, parks, homes, and restaurants in the communities where the people live. We advocate taking the education to the people by having the professors go and establish new schools in an ever-expanding circle of communities rather than one central location. MINTS provides curriculum, academic standards, administrative software, and training to the growing locally owned and operated schools. MINTS partners with national believers to start these schools with the understanding that they will multiply regionally.
MINTS equips pastors, Christian workers, Church planters, and professors through granting theological degrees. MINTS offers – Certificate, Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, Master of Divinity, in Theological Studies. For those who want to use their education to teach others, the Doctor of Ministry and Doctor of Philosophy are offered. As of 2019, we have 4,290 graduates serving churches and ministries.
MINTS also is producing free theological curricula in 13 languages for use around the world. To see where we currently have learning centers go to the map shown below and click on the country or continent.
MINTS is a 501c3 educational ministry. MINTS is authorized by the Florida Department of Education's Council on Independent Education, CIE, to grant religious degrees.
All MINTS personnel are missionaries and raise their own support to be involved in this worldwide ministry.

Cultivating Christian Leaders

Listen to Dr. Zugg talk about the distinctions of MINTS International Seminary, as well as the degree programs available to pastors and church leaders across the globe.

DID YOU KNOW? 95% of the minsters in the world have no Biblical or Theological training. In order to equip these ministers, MINTS provides accessible, affordable, and contextual theological education to prepare Christian leaders for Ministry. We offer seminary training, assisting them to create their own study groups and curriculum and we help them develop the next generation of pastors and leaders, theologians who then minister, spread the gospel, and begin new centers in their own country and continue to spread this to the world.
Our courses are primarily taught in local study centers that are accessible, affordable, responsible, and sustainable.
Accessible
We have professors that go and establish new schools in their own locations.
Locally Affordable
MINTS International Seminary provides curriculum and training; we do not invest in expensive overhead expenses like buildings. We encourage the students to study in churches and schools.
Accountable
Our Coordinators and students must run their own learning centers in an ethical and financially responsible fashion. This also trains them to be better stewards in their churches.
Sustainable
All centers must sustain themselves. They are not dependent on outside funding.
Reproducing
The accessible, affordable, accountable, sustainable model allows for mature centers to create new centers.
Our Degree Programs
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
"Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest." - Jesus Christ
John 4:35 (English Standard Version)
Pray for MINTS Missionaries
Everyone in the MINTS organization is self-supporting missionaries regardless of the role they play in advancing the purpose and mission of MINTS to equip indigenous pastors and church leaders around the world with a solid Biblical and Theological education in the Reformed tradition so they can establish mini-seminaries in their communities using our courses and structure.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many of our missionaries are experiencing decreasing financial support. Many are dealing with health issues in their families, as well as themselves. Our academic regional coordinators are unable to continue regular trips to the Study Centers they work with due to the travel restrictions caused by the Covid-19 virus.
Also, the Country Coordinators, Study Center Coordinators and Students around the world need your prayers.
Your prayers and support will be deeply appreciated.
